With an electrifying six goals in 101 minutes, NC State forward Donavan Phillip was an undeniable choice for men’s college soccer Player of the Week.

Phillip, a constant fixture on the TDS Player of the Year leaderboard, started the week with one of the more memorable performances of recent history as he bagged four goals in just 28 first-half minutes of a 7-0 rout of William & Mary. The Saint Lucia native then carried that momentum into ACC play, scoring both goals the team needed to defeat Boston College 2-0.

Player of the Week: Donavan Phillip, NC State

Men’s Team of the Week: September 15-21

GK: Eric Widrick, Colgate - The senior shot stopper was in fine form, earning consecutive clean sheets as Colgate defeated Albany 1-0 and drew Bucknell 0-0.

D: Niklas Thanhofer, LIU - Thanhofer cosplayed a lethal striker versus Quinnipiac, bagging a hat trick that was highlighted by an incredible free kick in the 5-2 win.

D: Alex Rosin, Notre Dame - Though just a freshman, Rosin played with veteran poise this week, dishing out two assists in a 3-1 takedown of Omaha, then anchoring the defense for a full 90 minutes as the Irish stormed past No. 12 Louisville 3-0.

D: Brian Edelman, Creighton - The Bluejays played once this week, and Edelman ensured a win, scoring the lone goal and playing all 90 minutes against Marquette.

M: Joshua Partal, Stanford - Partal continued his stellar freshman campaign with three assists as Stanford drew San Jose State 2-2 and defeated No. 17 Virginia Tech 3-1. 

M: Kyle Evans, Marist - After 76 minutes in a 1-0 win over Lehigh, Evans raised his performance with two goals and an assist in a 5-2 win over Quinnipiac. 

M: Zach Zengue, Georgetown - The senior midfielder continued his fine form by delivering a hat trick to help defeat Butler 5-0. 

M: Marko Borkovic, Ohio State - In a clutch performance, Borkovic scored twice and assisted another to account for every Buckeye goal in a narrow 3-2 Big Ten victory over Michigan State.

F: Donavan Phillip, NC State - Phillip tallied six goals, averaging one every 16 minutes in a remarkable week.

F: Vitalis Takawira, USC Upstate - Doing it all for the Spartans, Takawira scored twice in just 18 seconds to help defeat Wofford 3-2, then assisted two of the goals the team managed in a 4-0 victory over UNC Asheville. 

F: Palmer Ault, Indiana - The senior ended his scoring slump with a hat trick and an assist in a 4-1 win over Penn State.
